Museet for Religiøs Kunst
Museet for Religiøs Kunst (Museum of Religious Art) in Lemvig, Denmark, holds a substantial and growing collection of religious art from the historical to the contemporary. Recent acquisitions have significantly expanded the collection, with bold colours and reinterpreted mythological figures as younger artists bring fresh perspectives to sacred themes. The museum presents both a permanent collection and changing special exhibitions — including significant dialogues between Danish contemporary artists and international masters such as Georges Rouault. Free guided tours are offered on selected Sundays at 14:00. Facilities include a café with panoramic views, a shop selling catalogues, posters and postcards, and a children's area with a mirror room and light table. Volunteer-run in part.
