Cirkusmuseet

Cirkusmuseet (the Danish Circus Museum) opened in 2001 in a former military building in Avedørelejren, a beautifully preserved garrison area south of Copenhagen. Its exhibition fills the space with films, props, costumes and other impressions from the world of the circus and the performing artist. Every Sunday the museum hosts "Circus Fun" in its big training venue, the Fægtesalen, where children and families can try out circus skills, and groups can book guided tours and birthday celebrations.
