Hals Museum

Hals Museum sits inside the Hals Skanse, a remarkably well-preserved Renaissance fortification (1536–1660) and Denmark's best-surviving single bastion, on the Limfjord coast in North Jutland. Operated by Nordjyske Museer, the museum's permanent exhibition uses three themes — "Gateway to the Limfjord", "Daily Life in Hals", and "Harbour and Fishing" — to tell the story of the town from fishing village to today's tourist destination. The self-service museum offers free admission and is open every day of the year.
