Laugø Smedie

Laugø Smedje is a working local history museum operated by Gilleleje Museum, featuring volunteer blacksmiths who demonstrate traditional metalworking techniques on designated open days. Established in 1923 and celebrating its centennial in 2023, the smithy operates with support from retired craftspeople and offers visitors the chance to watch and participate in traditional smithing activities during summer.
