Gayer-Anderson Museum

The Gayer-Anderson Museum in Cairo occupies two adjoining historic houses (Bayt al-Kritliyya) furnished by British officer and physician John Gayer-Anderson Pasha, who lived there from 1935 in Islamic and Arabic style. Operated by Egypt's Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the museum displays Gayer-Anderson's eclectic collection in a richly decorated setting reflecting traditional Cairene domestic architecture.
