Cavafy Museum

The Cavafy Museum, known locally as Cavafy's House, is located in the Alexandria apartment where the renowned Greek poet C.P. Cavafy lived for the last 35 years of his life. Established in 1992 at the initiative of poet and scholar Kostis Moskof, then cultural attache to the Greek Embassy in Cairo, the museum preserves documents and exhibits that present Cavafy's life and work. It is operated by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture.
