Graeco-Roman Museum

The Graeco-Roman Museum of Alexandria is one of Egypt's great museums and the country's oldest building purpose-designed to conserve and display antiquities. Founded in 1892 by Italian archaeologist Giuseppe Botti and reopened in 1895 in a neoclassical building by architects Dietrich and Stienon, it is the only museum specialised in Egypt's Greek and Roman heritage.
