Ancient High House

The Ancient High House in Stafford is one of the finest Tudor buildings in the country and the largest remaining timber-framed town house in England, built around 1595. Now operating as a museum, it features period rooms including the Civil War Room (where King Charles I stayed), Stuart Bedroom, Georgian Wallpaper Room, Edwardian Shop, Victorian Room, and the Staffordshire Yeomanry Museum in the attic.
