Brantwood
Brantwood is the historic lakeside home of the Victorian writer, artist and social reformer John Ruskin, set on the eastern shore of Coniston Water in the English Lake District. Visitors can explore Ruskin's house and personal collections, wander 250 acres of gardens and estate (which include a National Plant Collection of Wisteria), enjoy the on-site cafe and shop, and take part in a year-round programme of exhibitions and events. Accommodation is also available in the Eyrie, the Lodge and the Coachman's.
