Bute Museum
Bute Museum & Natural History Society on the Isle of Bute focuses on understanding the archaeology, history, flora, fauna and geology of Bute and the surrounding area. The collection spans Neolithic and Bronze Age finds, the Inchmarnock material, Rothesay Castle, Bute's cotton mills, Bute at War and a wide-ranging natural history catalogue including birds, mammals, butterflies, dragonflies and marine life. The museum publishes annual Transactions and supports active groups including the Bute Bird Group and Red Squirrel Project.
