D-Day Museum
The D-Day Story is Britain's only museum dedicated to the planning and execution of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy in 1944. Located on Portsmouth's Clarence Esplanade, the museum tells how the Allies got an army across the Channel through immersive exhibits, the famous 83-metre Overlord Embroidery and a wide-ranging collection of vehicles, uniforms, medals, documents, maps and veteran recordings. Visitors can also tour the original Landing Craft Tank LCT 7074 alongside the museum.
