Gilbert White & The Oates Collection

Gilbert White's House & Gardens in Selborne, Hampshire celebrates the life and work of 18th-century naturalist Gilbert White, often called the father of ecology. Set in 25 acres of grounds, the site also features the Oates Collections dedicated to Antarctic explorer Lawrence Oates and naturalist Frank Oates. Facilities include White's Café, Gilbert White's Brewery, the Jubilee Tap, and a gift shop.
