Ilia Chavchavadze House Museum

The Ilia Chavchavadze Saguramo State Museum is a literary-memorial museum established in 1951 in the former estate of Ilia Chavchavadze (1837–1907) in the village of Saguramo, Mtskheta Municipality, Georgia. Chavchavadze is one of Georgia's greatest national figures — a writer, poet, publisher, and champion of Georgian independence known as the "Father of the Georgian Nation" and canonised as a saint by the Georgian Orthodox Church. The museum preserves his personal belongings, manuscripts, furniture, and household items, offering visitors an intimate glimpse into the life of this foundational Georgian cultural hero.
