Ecomare nature museum

Ecomare on the Dutch island of Texel is a nature museum, seal sanctuary, bird-rehabilitation centre and large open-sea aquarium rolled into one. Visitors can see harbour and grey seals up close, watch feedings of seals and the sea aquarium, walk through marine and dune habitats, and learn about Wadden Sea ecology — including a hall featuring a fin whale skeleton.
