Flessenscheepjesmuseum
The Flessenscheepjesmuseum (Ships-in-Bottles Museum) in Enkhuizen is a unique small museum housed in a 16th-century building. Its collection of around 1,000 ships in bottles — with several hundred on permanent display — is the largest of its kind in the world, and includes pieces donated from collectors in Germany, the United States and Japan. Trained volunteers tell the stories behind the bottles, with a children's treasure-hunt and a short instructional video on how the ships are built inside the glass.
