City museum

The Narodni muzej Zadar (National Museum of Zadar) is a regional museum founded in 1832, with a collection of around 100,000 objects representing the cultural and natural heritage of Zadar and Zadar County. It comprises four main departments — Natural Sciences, Ethnology, the City Museum of Zadar and the Art Gallery — together with a Documentation and Educational Service. Branches include the historic Town Loggia (Gradska loža), Duke's Palace (Kneževa palača) and the Mali arsenal visitor centre, where the museum stages exhibitions, lectures, concerts and educational programmes.
