Malakološki muzej

The Malakological Museum of the Franciscan Monastery in Makarska is one of Croatia's most significant natural history collections. Opened in 1963 within the Franciscan monastery — itself a protected cultural monument — the museum displays more than 3,000 specimens of shells and molluscs gathered from seas around the world. The collection illustrates the extraordinary diversity and beauty of marine life and serves as both a scientific and educational resource for visitors exploring this coastal Adriatic town.
