Apoxyomenos Museum

The Apoxyomenos Museum in Mali Lošinj, Croatia, is a museum dedicated to a single extraordinary artefact: a bronze statue of an ancient Greek athlete discovered underwater near Lošinj in 1996. The sculpture depicts an athlete performing apoxyesis — removing oil and sweat from his body with a strigil. The museum is housed within the historic Kvarner Palace, featuring distinctive modern architecture with a white structure set within the palace's original exterior walls.
