De Plompe Toren
Plompe Toren is a 23-metre church tower on the Oosterschelde dyke a few kilometres south of Burgh-Haamstede in Schouwen-Duiveland. The tower is the only remaining part of the medieval village of Koudekerke, which was lost to the Oosterschelde in the 16th-17th centuries, and once served as a navigational landmark for ships heading to Antwerp. Today it is a protected monument and viewpoint open to visitors.
