Mesdag Collection

The Mesdag Collection (De Mesdag Collectie) in The Hague is a house museum preserving the personal art collection of renowned 19th-century marine painter Hendrik Willem Mesdag and his wife, artist Sientje Mesdag-van Houten. The collection spans exceptional 19th-century Dutch and French painting including works by the Hague School and Barbizon painters, displayed in the couple's original home and studios.
