Greyfriars Municipal Art Gallery
This former Methodist church dates from the mid-nineteenth century and is situated in the historic quarter of Waterford city the Viking Triangle. The gallery primarily hosts exhibitions of selected artworks from the Waterford Municipal Art Collection. Founded in the late 1930s, the collection contains over four hundred artworks including some of Irelands leading 20th century painters e.g. Jack B.Yeats, Paul Henry, Evie Hone, Louis LeBrocquy, and contemporary artists, e.g. Hughie ODonoghue, Donald Teskey, Kathleen Delaney, and Breda Lynch.
