Leinster House
Leinster House was the former residence in Dublin of the Duke of Leinster and, starting in 1922, it now serves as the parliament building of, initially the Irish Free State, and now the modern Irish state. Prior to this it was the headquarters of the Royal Dublin Society, during which time the society's famous Dublin Spring and Dublin Horse Shows were held on Leinster Lawn, facing Merrion Square. The building is home to Dáil Éireann and Seanad Éireann, the two houses of the Oireachtas, and the name 'Leinster House' is renowned as the home of Irish political activities.
