Moate Museum

The Museum of Moate Historical Society is in the old jail building at the rear of the Courthouse, in the centre of Moate. The collections reflect centuries of life in Moate, from domestic rural life, farming, traditional boats, the dairy, shops, schooling, religious life, the blacksmiths forge as well as the role of the prison cells.
