Memory Vrijheidsmuseum Nijverdal

Memory Vrijheidsmuseum Nijverdal is a World War II museum in the Netherlands exploring five years of Nazi occupation through life-like dioramas, personal stories, photographs, and informative texts. The permanent exhibition guides visitors step by step through the war — from the rise of National Socialism to the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945 — with a special focus on Overijssel province. A temporary exhibition covers V-weapons (V.1 and V.2), and there is a dedicated 'box route' activity for children aged 6–12. The museum emphasises that freedom is not a given, but a precious value that must be preserved.
