Keeladi Museum

The Keeladi Museum, located at the Keeladi excavation site in Tamil Nadu, displays archaeological artefacts from the nearby Keezhadi dig — one of India's most significant urban archaeological discoveries. Excavations at Keezhadi have revealed evidence of a sophisticated Sangam-era urban settlement dating to around the 6th century BC, including terracotta figurines, copper objects, iron tools, spindle whorls, and inscribed pottery in Tamil-Brahmi script. The finds suggest an advanced civilisation flourishing along the banks of the Vaigai river contemporaneously with the Indus Valley Civilisation.
