Calico Textile Museum

The Calico Museum of Textiles, founded in 1949 by the Sarabhai Foundation, is one of the foremost institutions in the world for the study of historic Indian textiles. Located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, it preserves an exceptional collection of court textiles, religious cloth, regional embroidery, costume and industrial-era fabrics dating from the 17th century onwards. Visits are by guided tour only and require advance booking.
