Bihar Museum
Bihar Museum is a major art and history museum in Patna, India, with a curated collection of more than 30,000 artefacts spanning 5,000 years of South Asian history, art and culture. Permanent galleries cover the Indus Valley civilisation, the Mauryan dynasty (with a focus on Ashoka), the Sungas, Kushanas, Guptas, the Sultanate period and the Bihar diaspora, alongside a History Art Gallery, Regional Art Gallery, Children's Gallery, Visible Storage and Contemporary Art Gallery. The museum hosts regular special exhibitions, workshops and a biennale, and houses a research library, conservation lab, café, restaurant and museum shop.
