Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) — the former Prince of Wales Museum of Western India — is one of India's most important museums, established in 1922 in Mumbai's Fort district. The museum holds important collections of Indian art, archaeology and natural history, and runs a programme of exhibitions, public galleries, scholarly lectures (including the Dr. Devangana Desai Endowment Lecture) and educational activities. CSMVS also administers junior and senior scholarship schemes and a regular events calendar for visitors and researchers.
