Chandigarh Architecture Museum

The Chandigarh Architecture Museum was set up in 1997 to document, preserve and showcase rare documents, drawings, sketches and archives about the making of the city of Chandigarh. The museum displays master plans, sketches and photographs from its archival collection, telling the story of the birth of India's first planned modern city. Housed in a distinctly sculptural Corbusian-style building entered through a tube-like stairway, it forms part of a museum complex that also includes the Government Museum and Art Gallery and the Natural History Museum.
