Merklappenmuseum

Merklappenmuseum is a private house museum in Dieteren (Echt-Susteren), Netherlands, housing one of the largest collections of antique embroidered samplers in Europe. The collection of approximately 800 pieces includes the oldest sampler in Europe from 1572, along with embroidery, lacework, and needlework pattern books from the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, and Switzerland. Visits are by appointment only.
