Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya
The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS), also known as the National Museum of Humankind, is the largest ethnographic museum in India, spread across 200 acres on the Shymala Hills in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1977 and named after Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, it documents the cultural diversity of India's tribal and folk communities through open-air village complexes, craft demonstrations, and indoor galleries covering anthropology, material culture, and ritual life. The museum presents living traditions alongside historical collections.
