Falconry and Cigar-makers Museum

The Valkerij en Sigarenmakerij Museum (Falconry and Cigar-making Museum) in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, brings together two craft traditions that shaped the town's history. The Falconry Museum traces the story of Valkenswaard falconers who served European royal courts in the 17th and 18th centuries, while the Cigar-making Museum tells the story of the local cigar industry that once employed half the town's working population. Dutch falconry has been on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2010.
