Area Archeologica di Corte Sgarzerie
The Area Archeologica di Corte Sgarzerie in Verona preserves the remains of the Roman cryptoporticus that surrounded the Capitolium, the city's main temple dedicated to Jupiter, Juno and Minerva. Excavations between 1988 and 2004 revealed structures spanning the Roman era to the Middle Ages, offering an extraordinary layered view of Verona's historic centre. The site is managed and interpreted by the Archeonaute association, which organises guided tours and cultural activities.
