Area Archeologica di via San Cosimo - Verona

The Area Archeologica di via San Cosimo in Verona preserves one of the city's most remarkable archaeological layered sites, located in the basement beneath the courtyard of the Istituto Suore Figlie di Gesù. It documents Verona's defensive system from the Roman municipal era to the early Middle Ages and includes part of a richly decorated imperial-era domus built against the city walls. Discovered in 1971, the site is interpreted through guided visits by the Archeonaute association.
