The Area Archeologica di via San Cosimo in Verona preserves one of the city's most evocative archaeological palimpsests, featuring defensive systems from the municipal age through the early Middle Ages. The underground site includes Roman mosaics, tessellated pavements, marble flooring, and over 10 meters of preserved Theodosian wall built using recycled amphitheater materials.
