Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute
The Basilica della Salute was built as Venice's prayer of gratitude to the Virgin Mary for salvation from the devastating plague of 1630, and its distinctive double dome has graced the San Marco Basin for over three centuries. Guided visits to the Sacristy, Basilica, and Terrace are available, with free entry to the main basilica and ticketed access to the museum areas.
