Cineteca Sarda

The Cineteca Sarda is the audiovisual library and archive of the Centro di Servizi Culturali della Società Umanitaria in Cagliari. Founded in 1966 by Fabio Masala, it was the first public, cultural and educational audiovisual infrastructure in Italy and remains the most complete archive on Sardinia. It preserves and digitises a vast film, video and home-movie collection, runs a Mediateca with a specialised cinema library, and organises festivals, school programmes and public screenings. The Cineteca is a member of FIAF and the European Children's Film Association.
