Museo Archimede e Leonardo Siracusa

The Museo Archimede e Leonardo in Syracuse (Ortigia) is a science museum in the heart of the historic island dedicated to two giants of human ingenuity: Archimedes, the great mathematician and inventor born in Syracuse around 287 BC, and Leonardo da Vinci. The museum explores the continuity between their ideas, showcasing reconstructed mechanical models built in Lebanese cedar alongside multimedia installations and in-depth cultural content. Renovated from 2023 in partnership with the interdisciplinary research group ArtesMechanicae, it is aimed at adults, schools, enthusiasts and families. Every ticket includes free access to a multilingual digital tour.
