Yonezawa city Uesugi Museum

This museum is located on land that was formerly　the　middle ward of Yonezawa Castle.The museum holds many cultural assets connested with Yonezawa and the Uesugi family including national treasures such as “The Uesugi Version of the Byobu Painting of the Scenes in and arouond Kyoto”and “The Documents of the Uesugi Clan”. There is a permanent exhibit section laid out with the concept”" “Look, Touch, and Enjoy”. Sometimes the museum also has various special exhibitions.
