Tochigi Prefectural Museum

The Tochigi Prefectural Museum was founded in October ,1982 as a general museum, aimed at acquainting as many people as possible with Tochigi's nature and culture. We conduct research in seven different fields: earth science, botany, zoology, archaeology, history, folklore, arts and crafts. The museum exhibits the results of its research. There are numerous exhibits such as dioramas of mountains and rivers, indigenous flora and fauna, past lifestyles and cultural heritage of our prefecture.
