Yokosuka City Museum is a regional museum of nature and history centered in the Miura Peninsula. Our objectives are: To exhibit the nature and history of the Miura Peninsula in an easy-to-understand manner To collect, classify and arrange materials and resources, use them as academic materials and preserve them permanently To play a role as a research institute To provide the local citizens with a place and opportunities for lifelong learning To be of help in school education To stand firmly of the protection of natural and cultural assets
