Takaoka Art Museum

Opened in 1951, the Takaoka Art Museum was originally located in Kojo Park. It was in September 1994 that the museum was relocated to its current site after the construction of an entirely new facility. Interweaving both traditional and contemporary arts, our aim at the Museum is to provide an open space accessible to all members of the public. Along with displaying a variety of both nationally and internationally renowned exhibitions, there is also a distinctive collection of Takaoka's traditional arts and crafts exhibition, with particular emphasis on metal as an artistic medium.
