Kaatsmuseum
Het Kaatsmuseum in Franeker, Friesland is the oldest sports museum in the Netherlands, dedicated to kaatsen — the traditional Frisian ball sport. The museum tells the history of this ancient game, its culture, and its deep roots in Frisian identity. Franeker is the spiritual home of kaatsen and hosts the prestigious PC (Permanente Commissie) tournament. The museum is housed in the town centre and guided tours can be arranged.
