Independence Hall of Korea

The Independence Hall of Korea (독립기념관) in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, is the country's premier museum dedicated to Korea's struggle for independence from Japanese colonial rule (1910–1945). Established in 1987, it spans over 400 hectares and features seven permanent exhibition halls documenting the March 1st Movement, the provisional government, and the sacrifices of Korean independence fighters. Admission is free, reflecting the institution's role as a memorial gift to the Korean people.
