McCahon House
McCahon House is a heritage house museum and artist residency in Titirangi, Auckland, celebrating the life and legacy of Colin McCahon (1919–1987), one of New Zealand's most significant painters. The house was McCahon's home from 1953 to 1959, a period during which he produced many of his breakthrough works. Today it operates as a public museum open on weekends and hosts a prestigious artist-in-residence programme offering New Zealand and international artists time and space to develop their practice. The Trust also runs education programmes and maintains a growing archive of alumni, essays, and resources dedicated to McCahon's impact on New Zealand art.
