Archaelogical Museum

The Archaeological Museum of Sri Lanka is operated by the Department of Archaeology, the government body responsible for preserving and managing Sri Lanka's rich archaeological heritage. Located in Colombo, the department conducts research and excavations at renowned heritage sites including Sigiriya, Dambulla Cave Temple, and Kandy, and publishes the academic journal "Ancient Ceylon."
