Grūto parkas

Grūto parkas (Grūtas Park) is an open-air museum near Druskininkai in southern Lithuania that gathers hundreds of Soviet-era statues, monuments and ideological artefacts removed from public spaces after independence. The park lays bare the political, military and artistic instruments of Soviet occupation through its outdoor sculpture exhibition and indoor museums, and also includes a mini zoo, a Soviet-era playground (luna park) and a café. Visitors gain a vivid, documentary insight into how the regime concealed its crimes and glorified its perpetrators.
