Chaimas Frenkelis Villa
Built in 1908 by industrialists Chaimas and Dora Frenkeliai as a two-story residence next to their thriving leather processing factory, the Chaimas Frenkelis Villa is one of the few examples of early 20th-century Secession (Art Nouveau) architecture in Lithuania. Its facades interweave elements of various styles and the authentic interior features wood finish and ornate mouldings. Part of Šiauliai Aušros Museum since 1993, the villa houses the exhibition "The Frenkel Family, Industrialists," which traces two generations of the Frenkel family and the history of the Jews of Šiauliai. The villa hosts exhibitions, concerts, and the International Chaimas Frenkelis Villa Summer Festival in its rose-filled park.
