Founders Heritage Park

The collection at Founders Heritage Park is broadly defined as being mainly agricultural, industrial, commercial and transport-based objects, along with a small collection of related ephemera. The collection forms the Park’s early technological and mechanical focus and helps to tell unique and engaging stories of Nelson’s history and development from its earliest days up until the mid 20th century, (c.1955). Currently, the main themes of Founders Heritage Park’s collection are: Business and commercial, Mechanical and engineering, Agriculture, pastoral and farming, Manufacturing and production, Transport, Natural, geological and waterways as pertains to our region, and dating up to mid 1950s.
