Jaunmoku Palace Museum

LVM Jaunmoku Palace (Jaunmoku pils) was built in 1901 as a hunting palace for Riga Mayor George Armitstead, and is one of the finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Latvia. Today it houses the Forest Museum (Meža muzejs) — the only museum in Latvia offering such a comprehensive look at Latvian forestry — alongside exhibitions on the palace's Art Nouveau interiors, Armitstead's legacy, and a historic tiled stove. The second floor explores Latvian forest history and wildlife. The palace also features an escape room, educational programmes, guided tours, accommodation, conference facilities, and nature trails. It has been a state-accredited private museum since 2004, with a collection of 3,468 objects.
