Ashburton Art Gallery

Ashburton Art Gallery is a vibrant cultural facility serving Mid-Canterbury and the wider South Island of New Zealand. With over 25 years of operating history, the gallery is devoted to experimentation, innovation and engagement in art, and is located on the first floor of the Ashburton Art Gallery and Heritage Centre on State Highway 1. The collection is anchored by the work of award-winning children's book author and illustrator David Elliot, alongside more than 700 permanent works and 2,000 long-term loans.
